About María Álvarez

I am an energetic, fun person with a great sense of humour. I always find that people react to me positively and I find it easy to meet new people and get along with everyone. I am very tolerant and patient, and understand that every individual has a different learning style and will learn at a slightly different pace.

About the lesson

I believe in a Student-Centered approach style of teaching. A great learning environment is one which is fun, but also one which has structure and carefully managed lessons. I now look forward to sharing my own experiences, especially that of travelling and living abroad, with my students.

Maria's been teaching me for almost a year now, and I look forward to every class.
She'll instinctively deduce your ability (through grammar, vocabulary, conversation and confidence) - and will then combine activities, themes and references which form the perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment. Lessons with Maria have become a form of therapy for me. She's brilliant!

María ha sido mi profesora durante casi un año, y me encantan nuestras clases. Ella dedujo instinctivamente mi nivel por conversación informal, y consecuentemente crea actividades, temas y referencias que son una combinación de reto y entretenimiento. Clases con María son como una forma de terapía para mi. ¡Menuda profesora!
