About Paloma

I’m Paloma Macutela, a Peruvian native Spanish speaker with a background in communication and copywriting. I love writing, editing and helping others express themselves clearly in Spanish. Over the years I’ve helped different brands and students refine their grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. I currently work with students who already speak Spanish and want to improve their fluency, sound more natural and understand why certain structures are used. For me, grammar is not just a list of rules — every rule has a meaning and a purpose. When students understand the “why”, they remember it better and can build their own sentences with more confidence. If you’re looking to practice real conversation, strengthen your accuracy and feel more fluent when speaking, I’d love to help.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for students who already have a basic or intermediate level of Spanish and want to improve fluency, accuracy and natural expression. We focus on real conversations around your interests, work, travels or daily life, while I guide you with pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar in a natural way. I correct your sentences as you speak and explain why something is said one way and not another, so you can build confidence and consistency. Depending on your goals, we can work on:

Pretérito vs imperfecto, connectors, past tenses, future forms
Listening practice with series, music or videos
