About Haiyan
Hello! I’m Haiyan, a native Mandarin Chinese teacher from Beijing with over 900 online Chinese lessons taught to students from different countries and backgrounds.
I specialize in spoken Chinese, HSK preparation, practical Chinese for daily life, and Chinese for work and business. I also help school and university students strengthen their Chinese, review course materials, and build confidence in speaking.
Before becoming a full-time Chinese teacher, I worked in international trade, import-export, and purchasing, so my Business Chinese lessons are based on practical workplace situations rather than textbook language alone.
I graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a degree in Environmental Art Design and have studied Chinese calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting since childhood. I enjoy bringing Chinese culture into my lessons when it helps students understand the language more naturally.
I believe Chinese lessons should be structured, practical, and personalized. Whether you are a complete beginner, preparing for HSK, learning Chinese for work, or simply want to communicate more confidently, I will create a learning plan based on your level and goals.
