About Freya

I am a native Mandarin speaker from China and currently studying for a Master of Management at the University of Melbourne. I lived, studied, and worked in Japan for approximately ten years and am fluent in Mandarin, Japanese, and English. Through my own experience of learning languages and using them in everyday life and professional environments, I understand the challenges faced by second-language learners. I am patient, friendly, and passionate about helping students learn Mandarin efficiently through clear explanations and practical communication.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on practical Mandarin that you can use in real-life situations. Each class is tailored to your level, interests and learning goals, whether you are a complete beginner or want to improve your conversation skills. We can work on pronunciation, tones, vocabulary, listening and natural expressions through clear explanations and guided practice. As a native Mandarin speaker who is also fluent in Japanese and English, I can explain difficult points in the language you understand best. My goal is to help you speak Chinese clearly, confidently and naturally.
