About Xinmeng
Hi! I'm Xinmeng, a native Mandarin Chinese speaker currently living in Perth, Australia. I have a bachelor's degree in Accounting and have been living in Australia for over six years. During this time, I've had the opportunity to meet people from diverse cultural backgrounds, which has strengthened my communication skills and deepened my appreciation for language learning and cultural exchange.
As someone who has experienced learning and living in a different country, I understand both the challenges and rewards of learning a new language. I aim to create a relaxed, supportive, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
Whether you're learning Chinese for travel, work, study, or personal interest, I'd be delighted to help you build confidence in Mandarin while also sharing insights into Chinese culture and everyday life.

In addition to everyday Chinese, I can introduce students to traditional Chinese culture, including festivals, customs, history, literature, and cultural etiquette, helping you gain a deeper understanding of the language and its cultural background.
If you are interested in Classical Chinese (文言文), I can also help you explore classical texts and literary works. Having studied Classical Chinese to the level required for China's National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao), I can support learners who would like to develop their understanding of this unique and fascinating part of the Chinese language.
