About Xuan

My name is Xuan, and I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker with experience working as a teaching assistant in a UK school. I currently support students in their learning across different age groups and abilities, which has helped me develop strong communication and teaching skills in an educational environment.
I have experience working with children, teenagers, and adult learners, both in classroom settings and one-to-one support. This has given me the ability to adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs, personalities, and goals.
I am passionate about language teaching and enjoy helping students build confidence in Mandarin step by step. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable making progress at their own pace.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to be engaging, practical, and fully tailored to each student’s needs and goals. I believe that language learning is most effective when it is interactive and relevant to real-life situations, so I focus on helping students build confidence in speaking and understanding Mandarin naturally.
In my classes, I combine structured learning with communicative practice. This includes vocabulary building, grammar support, HSK exam preparation, reading and writing practice, as well as plenty of speaking and listening activities. I also use role-plays, visual materials, and real-life scenarios to make lessons more dynamic and easier to remember.
As a native Mandarin speaker and a teaching assistant in a UK school, I have experience working with both children and teenagers in an educational setting, as well as supporting adult learners. This allows me to adapt my teaching style effectively for different age groups and learning goals.
My lessons are suitable for complete beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students, including those preparing for HSK exams or wanting to improve their conversational Chinese for travel, work, or personal interest.
