About Lin
I’m a native Mandarin Chinese speaker originally from China and currently based in the United States. I hold a master’s degree from the University of Washington and have a background in business. Having lived and studied in both Chinese- and English-speaking environments, I understand the challenges of learning and communicating in another language. I’m patient, friendly, and passionate about helping students learn natural, practical Mandarin they can confidently use in everyday life.

I’ll tailor each lesson to your level and goals, whether you’re a complete beginner, learning for travel, communicating with family or friends, or simply want to become more comfortable speaking Chinese.
I believe learning Mandarin should be practical, relaxed, and enjoyable — mistakes are part of learning! I’m happy to explain the cultural context behind words and expressions too, so you’re not just memorizing Chinese, but understanding how it’s really spoken.
