About Haein

Hi! I'm a native Korean speaker based in London, with 2 years of experience teaching Korean to students from diverse backgrounds.

I recently completed a Master's degree in the UK, and I have a background in visual design and creative education.

Over the past two years, I've delivered more than 200 one-to-one Korean lessons, working with learners of different ages, nationalities, and language levels. This experience has helped me understand that every student learns differently, and I genuinely enjoy finding ways to make learning more accessible and enjoyable for each individual.

Alongside my private tutoring, I volunteer as a teaching assistant at a Korean school in London, where I support children's language learning and help create a positive, engaging classroom environment.

My background in design also allows me to bring creativity into my teaching, particularly through visual learning materials and engaging educational activities.

I'm a patient, friendly, and encouraging tutor who believes that confidence is just as important as knowledge when learning a new language. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress.

My Korean lessons are designed to be engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student's individual needs, learning style, and goals.

[My Teaching Approach]
I believe that learning a language should be both enjoyable and practical. I focus on building students' confidence through a balanced combination of speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with a particular emphasis on real-life communication.

I create personalised learning materials, including visual resources, interactive activities, conversation exercises, and structured worksheets to make lessons easier to understand and more engaging.

[What to Expect in My Lessons]
- Lessons typically last 60 minutes, but can be adjusted depending on the student's age and needs.
- Each lesson is structured around clear learning goals, with opportunities to practise and review.
- Beginners can start with Hangul (the Korean alphabet), essential vocabulary, and basic grammar.
- Intermediate and advanced learners can develop their conversational fluency, pronunciation, and understanding of natural Korean expressions.
- For younger learners, I incorporate games, visual activities, and interactive exercises to make learning fun and accessible.

[My Teaching Experience]
I have 2 years of Korean teaching experience and have delivered over 200 one-to-one lessons to students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I have developed personalised learning materials for students ranging from A1 to C1.

I also volunteer as a teaching assistant at a Korean school in London, supporting children's language development through classroom activities and individual guidance.
