She has a calm and comfortable approach to teaching, which has allowed me to personally resonate with her lessons as well as grow my understanding of Korean overall. I benefit from learning natural ways to speak and why something is the way it is. This is especially relevant with language (grammar, conjugation, differences from textbook to spoken, etc.), so having a resource that supports my way of learning allows me to build my comprehension faster and stronger. Jihyun is a super tutor because she is first a learner and she knows what it’s like to learn a new language or anything new for that matter. I knew Jihyun some years ago, as she became an advanced ESL student in my class. She dedicated herself to the class and became quite proficient by practicing as much as she could. She was one of three students to write an essay for publishing in the literacy organization’s newsletter and was also invited to speak at the graduating event. As such, she shared her own learning journey and her insights were quite valuable to ESL students. Hence, I know that she will be a great Korean language tutor. I will say an idea and I am certain its unnatural or I am mixing up a word and she will understand it. She has a high English level so if you are very basic, dont worry she can explain in English.
