About Erminda

I am a native Italian speaker with a PGCE (Post Graduate Certification of Education) in Modern Foreign Languages (Italian, French,and Spanish) for Secondary Schools and a Qualified Teacher Status. I teach French, Italian and Spanish in Secondary Schools in the UK. I have also experience of teaching Italian to students in preparation for their A-Level exams.
As for teaching languages to adults, I hold a certificate of teaching Italian to adults issued by the International House in London, and currently I am preparing some adult students for their GCSE's exam in Italian.
In addition to the above, I also speak fluently French and English and I hold a BA (hons) degree in French with Arts and Humanities.
I love teaching languages as it is a wonderful way of enriching people's lives.

About the lesson

I teach all levels of Italian, from beginner to advanced . These include also preparation for GCSE and A-Level exams. My lessons are based on a mixture of learning techniques, among which are an effective and practical introduction to grammar rules; effective sequencing of learning avoiding cognitive overload; gradual acquisition of vocabulary; learning writing and speaking skills by gradual steps; use of educational games; preparation to exams. A typical lesson will last one hour and the first lesson will be free. I also provide packages, if you prefer so.
I have taught Italian for a few years and I hold a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education) with Qualified Teacher Status which allows me to teach Languages, including Italian, in schools, but I also hold a CLTA for Italian (Certificate Language Teaching to Adults) from the International House in London.
