About Andrea
I have been a writer (on multiple platforms, from film to B2B copy) for most of my life, and have taught scriptwriting at Manchester Metropolitan University, where I achieved my PhD. I moved to the UK in 2010, to achieve a BA and Masters at Aberystwyth University, and have lived in the North West of England for the past decade or so. As well as teaching and writing for the screen, I am active in the local theatre scene, for which I direct, sometimes write, more rarely act. I am native Italian speaker, having grown up on the Southwestern coast of the country, and I consider my English to be on the same level.

I build my lessons around the needs of my students, helping them learn the language through engaging content tailored to their preferences, be it music, films, literature or any hobbies they might have. Conversation, grammar and structure are indeed fundamental, but by applying them to real-life situations and using them to talk about subjects they care about, students will find them much easier to grasp and remember. Intermediate learners will find this approach especially useful, but so will experts trying to gain the edge in their Italian communication. Beginners will also find learning the basics much easier through direct conversation.
