About Santiago

Native Irish speaker with an American accent and 5 years of experience teaching private English classes to students of all ages. For example, I taught English to an art teacher who was preparing for the Level C1 English Advanced Exam and after 6 months she managed to pass the English Advanced Exam on her first attempt. English classes are focused to improve the students level of English. The online classes are taught by videoconference and I use a document shared with the student where I write all the vocabulary, verbs, grammar and expressions that need to be known or reviewed. My preferred teaching method is learning by doing. I am confident that this is the most effective method because students are able to learn from their own mistakes. The learning by doing method also allows me to improve students level of understanding in English at a faster rate than traditional methods. What I like most about teaching English is seeing the progress of my students and how they gradually improve their understanding.

About the lesson

My class consists of a prepared conversation on a topic. In my classes we strive for an enrichment of vocabulary, adjectives, verbs, expressions and pronunciation in order to speak a professional level of English. Above all, we practice pronunciation and fluency when speaking so that we can speak English fluently. There is also the option of assistance with completing homework or also assistance in translating texts from Spanish to English or vice versa. I am available during the week and also during Saturday morning. You can book your first private class for FREE.
