About Bríd

I have been performing Irish music and singing in formal & informal settings for over 20 years, and have 15 years of language teaching at all levels - high school, grade school and university level, as well as individual & group tutoring. Irish music & singing are my greatest passions, next to language learning and language teaching. As is also the beautiful Irish percussion instrument the bodhrán (one-sided drum), which I have been playing since I was a wee one. I am at your service to share with you my passion and skills in Irish traditional singing and also in language learning. My mother tongue is Irish. I speak English at C3 level (bilingual/fluent & professional linguistic level). I speak German (level C3) and French (C2), Spanish (B2) and Italian (A2). No matter what your language ability in the language you would like to study with me, I know for sure that I will be able to guide you to a higher level in an enjoyable, motivational environment. (Online, in-person, and immersion classes available.)

About the lesson

I am going to love sharing with you the beautiful rich tradition of Irish-language & English-language traditional Irish singing. My mother tongue is Irish, and I've been singing & playing music from before I could walk & talk. :-) I have performed all around Ireland & further afield. It will be my pleasure to share my knowldedge & skills relating to Irish traditional singing & language learning with you. I always start with your needs, objectives, and preferred styles of learning to find the format that suits your needs and learning style.
