About Dia
Hi! I’m Dia! I love helping people feel confident and comfortable while learning English. I’ve taught learners of all ages—from tutoring kids in elementary school and volunteering with Girlguiding in London, to teaching English in Korea. My lessons are structured but fun, with a focus on conversation, patience, and building a relaxed, friendly connection with each student. I believe learning works best when you're comfortable and enjoying the process. Outside of teaching, I enjoy taking my cats for walks, photography, and trying new cafes and restaurants!

Teaching Techniques and Methodology: My teaching style is structured yet conversational, designed to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. I use clear lesson plans tailored to each student's level and learning goals. Each lesson is interactive and encourages real-world use of English to build both confidence and fluency. Typical Length of a Lesson Each lesson is 1 hour long, broken down into: - 10 minutes for an introduction or icebreaker - 35 minutes of structured learning - 15 minutes for questions and answers, review, or additional practice Qualifications and Experience: I have tutored English throughout various stages of my life. During college, I worked as a tutor for an elementary school. I also interned at Girls Inc. in Dallas, where I supported young learners with English and literacy skills. After graduation, I spent a year teaching English in Korea, which deepened my experience working with learners from diverse backgrounds. Most recently, I volunteered for a semester with Girlguiding in London, continuing my passion for helping others grow in their English skills. Who the Lessons Are For: I welcome learners of all ages and levels. Whether you're a beginner looking to build confidence or a student needing help with schoolwork, I’m here to support your learning journey. I have particular experience working with elementary-aged children, but I’m equally comfortable teaching adults or teenagers.
