About Chandni

I am a trained Montessori educator, holding an AMI diploma (specializing in 2.5 - 6-year-olds). I have lived in India for the past 5 years and I have previously taught English as a foreign language to children in Spain. Familiar with the Reggio Emilia approach and the International Baccalaureate programme, I have worked with students from the age of 2 - 16 years of age. I have also coached adults for interviews with international corporations and to support their professional development working with international clients.

I hold a true sense of internationalism and can empathise with the challenges of learning a new language. I also like to include cultural studies within my lessons so that students can grasp a better understanding of nuances within the English language.

I am currently only available to take classes online.

About the lesson

I take a learner-centered approach so that I am able to adapt to the needs of the individual student and their style of learning. I apply principles from the Montessori philosophy and reading strategies to guide the student through their natural stages of development. Depending on the age and ability of the student, I can tailor the classes to be focused on grammar, comprehension, and/or expanding vocabulary. I have a neutral British accent, having been born and raised in the UK, so I can also help with fluency and pronunciation, too.

I am patient and passionate about teaching and my main aim is to build confidence in students. I hope to make practicing English fun and engaging!

Perfect! We are a Japanese family who lived in Bangalore at the time, and our two daughters used to take lessons from Chandni. She was truly an excellent English teacher.

She was always professional in her attitude, and our children quickly grew attached to her.
She not only taught English but also guided our children on how to behave and interact with others.
Needless to say, as a native speaker, her command of English was outstanding.
