I immigrated to the USA at 11 years old and had to learn English in 5th grade all alone, so I understand firsthand what is needed to master a new language. As a native Cuban speaker, I believe in immersive learning to master Spanish effectively. My teaching method includes exposure to the language and cultures through music, movies, and conversations. Lessons are tailored for elementary to high school students and adults and involve engaging, topic-based conversation practice. This way, students use the new vocabulary and grammar they learn each week in a natural context. I recommend at least two hours of lessons per week with me, plus watching movies and listening to songs I suggest. This additional practice helps students retain what they have learned until our next lesson. What sets me apart is my ability to create a fun, immersive environment where students can speak, write and hear Spanish, helping them learn faster without feeling like they're in a traditional classroom setting.
