About Jackie
I am a native Mandarin speaker with a PhD in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics and more than ten years of experience teaching Chinese language and culture at university level in Australia and China.
I have taught students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and supported learners at different stages of their Chinese studies.
I enjoy helping students build confidence and communicate more naturally in Chinese. My approach is patient, supportive and tailored to each student’s goals. I also hold a Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.

I am a native Mandarin speaker with a PhD in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics and over ten years of university teaching experience across Australia and China. My teaching is practical, interactive and student-centred, with lessons tailored to your goals and learning style.
I offer conversation practice, Mandarin from beginner to advanced level, HSK preparation and Chinese for professional or academic purposes. Lessons are available online or face-to-face in Darwin, Northern Territory.
