About Zhuopeng

I chose to teach Chinese because of my deep passion for the Chinese language and culture. I hope to share this passion and help more people understand and master this language. As a native Chinese speaker, I have authentic pronunciation and professional writing skills. Additionally, while pursuing my PhD at the University of Sydney, I have developed strong academic and communication abilities, enabling me to provide high-quality teaching experiences.

In my classes, I use interactive, fun, and practical teaching methods to ensure that every student can learn and progress in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I tailor the course content to each student's specific needs and proficiency levels, helping them effectively master listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Chinese.

My goal is to inspire students' interest in learning Chinese and to build their confidence as they progress. I believe that through my guidance, students will not only learn Chinese well but also gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and traditions.

About the lesson

Teaching methodology:
My teaching approach is student-centered and tailored to the individual needs of each student. I use a variety of techniques, including interactive conversations, practical exercises, and real-life scenarios to enhance learning. I will create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable to practice and make mistakes. My methodology focuses on developing all four language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—through a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Typical length of a lesson:
A typical lesson lasts for 60 minutes. This duration allows us to cover the necessary material thoroughly while keeping the session engaging and productive. However, I am flexible and can adjust the lesson length based on the student's needs and preferences.

My qualifications as a tutor:
I am a native Chinese speaker with authentic pronunciation and professional writing skills. I am currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Sydney, where I have developed strong academic and communication skills. My deep understanding of Chinese culture enable me to provide a comprehensive learning experience.
