About Yongxin

Hello, everyone. My name is Catherine. I come from China. I can speak Chinese and English. I am an outgoing and easygoing Chinese teacher. I also have many hobbies, like singing, traveling, sports, cooking. I have been teaching Chinese for many years, helping overseas teenagers learn Chinese and tutoring for the HSK exam. You may hear that Chinese is the most difficult language to learn, especially the four tones.But, don’r worry. I will make Chinese learning easier for you. I will help you build the confidence of learning Chinese. I know the right a mount of challenging you as a student while being very encouraging. And during my years of teaching Chinese, I have enjoyed learning Chinese with you and making progresses together. Although I am your teacher, I will also be your good friend. In my Chinese class, in addition to rich knowledge, there are many fun Chinese games. I believe that gradually you will love learning Chinese more and more.

About the lesson

I have a lot of tips to learn. I can teach the tones in a very fun way that you can easily remember them. For example, you can nod your head to pronounce the fourth tone.
I will customize a lesson plan for you and tailor the lessons to your goals and pacing. I will always make sure all of your answers will be answered. If you are not a beginner, I will plan my lessons to build on words you already knew. My teaching content in each class in very organized and very clear for you to learn. You can learn a lot in each session.
My teaching style is easy to follow. I have a great sense of humor and make you feel comfortable even when you make a mistake. I am patient enough. You can interrupt me at any time to ask a question. I can respond quickly to your requests to emphasize certain parts of the subject matters such as pronunciation.
I will not only teach you new words and structures, but also help you use them in real Chinese conversation. I will always give many examples to show the explanations ,besides phonetic Chinese system, Chinese characters, Chinese words and expressions, Chinese grammar points. I will also share the most authentic Chinese culture with you.
I am quite flexible about the schedule. You can cancel a lesson any time in advance and I will keep the lesson credit for you.
I will send notes and exercise after each class to help you review. I will also conduct Chinese conversations at the beginning of each lesson to help you review.
I will offer a free lesson to show how the tutoring works. Don’t take my words, just give it a shot. I am looking forward to seeing you in my class.
