About Gemma
Mandarin is my first language, and I went to school in China. I'm extremely down-to-earth and easy-going. I believe that language is a muscle that constantly needs to be worked, so even just chatting with me is part of learning another language!

My lessons are for beginners and intermediate students who are trying to learn Mandarin as an additional language and need help with reading and listening. We will start with a simple conversation at the beginning of class, and read simple news articles or anything of interest together to improve reading skills. I hope to communicate entirely in Mandarin throughout the class.
