As a Mandarin tutor, I aim to make learning both effective and engaging. I focus on tailoring lessons to each student’s goals—whether they’re learning for travel, academic purposes, or daily communication. I emphasise interactive learning, using real-life scenarios, storytelling, and visual aids to reinforce vocabulary and grammar. I also incorporate listening and speaking exercises from early on, helping students gain confidence in using Mandarin naturally. My teaching methodology blends structured progression (e.g. HSK framework if relevant) with flexible content. For beginners, I prioritise pronunciation (Pinyin and tones), essential vocabulary, and sentence structures. For intermediate or advanced learners, we focus more on conversation practice, cultural context, idioms, and writing skills. I welcome students of all levels and ages—from complete beginners to more advanced speakers looking to refine their fluency. Whether you're a school student, a professional, or a language enthusiast, I’ll adapt my teaching style to help you meet your goals at your own pace.
