About May

Hi, nice to meet you ! I'm May. Born in China，raised in China，currently live in China, I can speak standard Mandarin. I have IPA qualification as a senior international Chinese teacher and Mandarin Test level 2 A certificate . I graduated from Shanxi normal university with bachelor’s degree majored in education (now I am still in further study because this is a lifelong learning era). I worked as an English tutor in an after-school tutoring agency for several years and started teaching Chinese online last year. My foreign students like me ,and we have become good friends through learning Chinese. I have passion for teaching. In my opinion, learning should not be boring and stressful. We should enjoy learning in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere . With colorful activities in our class, you'll find learning Chinese is so easy and interesting , your Chinese will be better and better!

I am a teacher who takes teaching very seriously. I will create exclusive courseware for you based on your language proficiency and learning style; I am very humorous, our classroom is always full of joy ! If there are still some knowledge points that you haven't understood by the end of class, I will always try my best to extend the class time and explain them to you until you master them if you're not in a hurry to leave and I also have time. About the lesson

My teaching range ：
Pinyin, Vocabulary, Oral Chinese，Business Chinese and HSK1 ~ 6. ( I have lots of experience in helping students pass the grades). My students from teenagers to adults. If you don't have the textbooks, we can share the e-textbooks together. If you want some of the textbooks, I can send you for free.

My teaching methods:
I make unique courseware according to your language foundation and your interest. We have varying kinds of learning methods to choose from. We can not only memorize Chinese characters through pictures, objects and scenes, but also practice sentences through many interesting activities, such as singing, watching movies, playing games and so on... I think doing the Chinese film-dubbing exercise and learning Chinese songs are some of the most effective ways to correct your pronunciation because I have worked as a voice actor for movies (I also written some film scripts）and also won awards for solo singing, so I know that doing these practices more will help you form oral muscle memories, and your mood will be happy when doing them... Sometimes we can do it as homework , you can take a part of the role -play. And also, if you like , I can teach you to make Chinese handicrafts ，and of course cook Chinese food ... Anyway please feel free to tell me what's your thinking about our class . I would love to take your suggestions and advice to adjust our learning style , so that we can study more efficiently and happily! No matter what you are interested in or anything you want to give it a try, let's do it! We will have many interesting activities to enrich our class and have a lot of fun while we study.
