About Xiaoyang
Hello! My name is Xiaoyang, and I am a PhD student at the University of Glasgow. As a native Chinese speaker living in the UK, I enjoy sharing my language and culture with people from different backgrounds.
I believe learning a language should be enjoyable, practical and confidence-building. I am patient, friendly and supportive, and I always encourage students to learn at their own pace. Whether you are a complete beginner, a child or an adult learner, I will create a comfortable learning environment where you can make steady progress and enjoy every lesson.

Hello! I am a PhD student at the University of Glasgow and a native Chinese speaker. I offer friendly and engaging Chinese lessons for beginners, children and anyone interested in learning Mandarin.
Every lesson is tailored to each student's age, level and learning goals. I focus on building confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing through interactive activities, games, conversations and practical exercises. My teaching style is patient, supportive and encouraging, helping students enjoy learning Chinese in a relaxed environment.
Lessons are available both online and in person in Glasgow. Typical lessons last 60 minutes, although shorter lessons can be arranged for younger children. I am happy to help with school Chinese, everyday conversation or learning Chinese from scratch.
