About
Hi, I’m Dana! I’m from Lebanon and now live in Adelaide. Arabic is my native language, and I also speak English. I have a degree in English Literature and previously taught in Beirut.
I enjoy teaching and helping people feel comfortable learning something new. I know it can feel a little awkward speaking another language at first, so you’re always welcome to ask questions or take your time.
If you’re starting Arabic from scratch, I’d be happy to help you take those first steps.

If you’re new to Arabic, we can start with simple words and phrases you can use in everyday life. You don’t need to know any Arabic before joining.
I’m Lebanese, so I can help you learn Lebanese Arabic for conversations with family, friends or when travelling. If you’d also like to learn the alphabet and practise reading, we can include that in our lessons.
We’ll go at your pace, and I can explain things in English whenever you need. We’ll practise speaking together and go over anything you find difficult.
In our first lesson, I’d like to hear why you want to learn Arabic and what you hope to be able to say. From there, we can decide what to focus on together.
