About Kayla
Hello! My name is Kayla, and I am a native Afrikaans speaker offering private tutoring for students who want to improve their language skills in a clear, patient, and supportive environment.
My lessons are focused on helping students build confidence step by step through simple explanations, practical examples, and consistent practice. I believe that learning a language should feel natural and stress-free, so I always adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s pace and individual needs.
Although I am at the beginning of my tutoring journey and do not yet hold formal teaching qualifications, I am passionate about helping others improve and communicate more confidently in Afrikaans. I am committed to creating a positive learning experience where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
I can assist with beginner and intermediate Afrikaans, including speaking, reading, vocabulary, and school support. I also have the ability to help English-speaking students understand Afrikaans more easily by explaining concepts in a simple and structured way.
Students can expect friendly, focused, and personalized lessons where progress is made step by step. My goal is to help each learner feel more confident and capable in using Afrikaans in everyday situations.

My approach to tutoring is patient, supportive, and focused on helping students build confidence step by step. I believe languages are best learned through simple, clear explanations and regular practice, so I create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and improving naturally.
I am a native Afrikaans speaker and can also assist with English, especially conversational practice and basic language support. My goal is to help learners understand the language in a practical way, not just memorise rules, so they can use it confidently in real-life situations.
In a typical lesson, we will focus on your specific needs — whether that is speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, or school-related support. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level and pace, making sure concepts are explained clearly and repeated when necessary until fully understood.
My lessons are aimed at beginners and intermediate learners, including school students or anyone who wants to improve their Afrikaans or build stronger language confidence. I focus on making learning simple, structured, and enjoyable, so students can progress steadily without feeling overwhelmed.
