About Imogen

As previously mentioned, I am in my third year of study at Edinburgh Law School at Edinburgh University and have an interest in property law as well as criminal law and personal injury claims. Upon graduation, I hope to become a solicitor in one of my fields of interest.

I work part-time in Aizle Edinburgh - a five-star dining experience in Charlotte Square.

Outside of my studies/work, I enjoy painting, particularly still life and portraiture, though as expected, I do not have much free time to paint as my degree is so heavy. However, when I get a minute I will paint or start a sketch to go back to.

I also swim (self-train) to keep fit and have done so since January 2024. I was a competitive swimmer from age nine until age fifteen (COVID) where I competed at the National level and broke club/school records which I still hold to this day. I aim to complete a 10-mile swim in just one day next month.

I have experience working with vulnerable adults and children and have grown up with a sibling with learning difficulties.

I believe I am the person I am today due to my work ethic which can be seen through my studies and hobbies. Swimming forces me to push my body to the best of my ability and has built up great resilience which has been a fundamental transferrable skill in other areas of my life such as my studies or completing artwork to the best of my ability despite lacking spare time.

I used to want to be a History teacher before pursuing my law degree and have always had a passion for helping others.

Hello!

My name is Imogen and I am a third-year Law student at the University of Edinburgh. Though studying for a career in the legal sector with a particular interest in real estate and conveyancing, I have maintained a fascination with History (British/Scottish/American/German) having studied the topic at National 5, Higher and Advanced higher level when in my former years of high school. In my Higher History SQA qualification (2021), I scored an A1 (94%) having achieved all A's in class tests including 22/22 essays and 9/9 skills questions on multiple occasions.

I am keen to help those who may be struggling with the key concepts of problem/skills questions or are looking to pick up extra marks on essay questions.

I am from Motherwell, a town in North Lanarkshire, and attended Taylor High School in Carfin. However, I now live in Haymarket, Edinburgh and this is where I would be commuting from.
