About Ray
I’ve been active my whole life—playing sports throughout childhood, school, and university. But like many, once I entered the professional world, my fitness began to fall off. I gained weight and struggled to stay consistent, even though I loved movement and training. In my efforts to get back on track, I completed a half marathon, full marathon, and a 120km bike race from Vancouver to Whistler—but after each event, I found myself dealing with injuries or falling out of routine again. Eventually, I realized I needed a better way—a sustainable, smart approach to fitness that would make my body more resilient, not more fragile. It took time, but I found that balance. Now, my training focuses on building strength, improving mobility, and developing endurance, while keeping injury prevention front and center. I enjoyed this process so much that I became a certified trainer to help others like me—busy individuals trying to reclaim their fitness without burning out or getting hurt. Whether your goal is to build strength, burn fat for body recomposition, or simply move and feel better, I’m here to help you find an approach that fits your life. Currently, I’m training in both strength and running, and I believe the most effective fitness comes from combining strength, power, and endurance—that’s where I specialize.

My coaching focuses on building strength and mobility at the same time. I teach the fundamentals of strength training with an emphasis on safe movement, proper technique, and sustainable progress.
We’ll start with a fitness and movement assessment to identify your needs and goals. From there, I’ll create a personalized workout plan tailored to your body and lifestyle.
What sets me apart is my own experience: as a former software engineer, I understand the challenges of balancing fitness with a busy life. I help clients train smarter—not harder—so they can build strength, move better, and stay injury-free.
