About Nanette
- What kind of experience do you have? I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher who has been offering private tuition over the past 22 years. I am experienced in teaching science to all secondary ages, 11 to 18, specialising in Biology and Chemistry at key stage 4 and Chemistry at A levels. I am an experienced Head of Chemistry with over 20 years of teaching. I have taught Chemistry for most examination boards up to and including A level and IB. I am also a qualified examiner - Which subject(s) do you teach? Chemistry up to A levels, IB Diploma, Chemistry up to GCSE - Tell me about your qualifications. Biochemist and a fully qualified teacher with PGCE. - How much do you charge? £50 for A levels, £40 - Where do you teach? I usually teach online but could travel around the Dorking area of Surrey up to Epsom, Guildford, and Leatherhead. - When are you available? Weekdays after 5.00pm, Saturdays and school holidays - Which ages and levels do you teach? 11 to 18 years - Which qualifications do you prepare your students for? GCSE in Biology and Chemistry, all exam boards, A level Chemistry (mainly AQA and The IB Diploma) I have also prepared students for Salters and OCR A Chemistry - Describe your arrangements for online tutoring. I would hope to conduct this via Zoom - Do you have a personal message for students? I am very patient and sensitive to the needs of each student and will work with them to ensure that you get the grade you require.

We have had the good fortune of having Nanette tutor A level Chemistry as well as IB Chemistry and she is just awesome. She always goes the extra mile, is always on the student’s side to make sure she gives them as much support as she possibly can and her knowledge is and ability to explain a very difficult topic is exemplary. I recommend her wholeheartedly without hesitation! Very grateful!
Nanette really helped me with me GCSE exams. I really wanted to study medicine but Chemistry was always difficult for me to fully understand. Nanette spent the year breaking down the concepts so I fully understood and started exam prep early so I was ready by the time the exams came around. I'm pleased to say I beyond exceeded my teachers expectations and will be taking Chemistry again for A-Level.
