About Noah

My name is Noah Millheim. I'm 22 years old and am one semester away from student teaching in college. I have been a teacher for about two years now in my program at Kutztown University. I have spent hundreds of hours in classrooms working with students individually and in groups.I have created my own lessons and am constantly reading new pedagogy on the best ways to reach and teach students. I love helping people and that's why I became a teacher. Finally seeing someone understand a difficult concept is fulfilling to me and I want to give the knowledge I have to my students. I also am someone that I want my students to be able to talk to about life outside the class as well. My goal is to always be working to become a better teacher and help as many people as I can learn how to read and write better.

About the lesson

My lessons are fun and interesting. I bring technology, student interests, and choice into everything I do for my students. Each lesson is designed around a learner's strengths and challenges them to reach further in their learning. My lessons start with a simple conversation between me and the students. I do this to get an understanding about what they like to do and incorporate it into their learning. The main part of my lesson is focused on a topic they are struggling with and need to learn better. I do grammar, paragraph writing, how to read effectively, text analysis, etc. I cater to my students and will make lessons based on what they need and where they are in the learning process. I am looking to teach students from 5th grade through 12th but am willing to branch out into younger students. Ultimately my lessons are learner centered and will cater to their learning styles, needs, and interests.
