About Jinyu
I'm a native Chinese speaker living in Shanxi, China. I graduated from university with a degree in translation. I love working out, traveling and taking photos. But most importantly, I love learning and sharing languages. I really enjoy talking with different people from different culture backgrounds.
I have teaching experience of being both English teacher and Chinese teacher in my hometown. And I have taught students of all ages and all levels from the beginning to advance. I hope to use my free time to tutor mandarin online, because this is my greatest passion. I'm a friendly, understanding and patient teacher.

My lessons mainly focus on helping improve your spoken Chinese and fluency through conversation, we can talk about any topic that you are interested in. If there are certain areas you wanna improve whether it's reading, writing, listening or culture, we can focus on those too. And if you wanna study with a textbook, we can go with that. In my class, I prefer my students to do more of the talking because my goal is to help my students achieve their potentials to speak with confidence. Even though my lessons are light, easy and fun, I make sure that my students will learn.
