About Isaiah

I was part of the Chamber Choir an intermediate choir at my school which allowed me to participate in many gigs throughout my time there. Some of these gigs include but are not limited to performing with Coldplay at Levi Stadium, Daveed Diggs from Hamilton, the Stone Foxes, and even performing our own spring show on the Fox stage. At the Stone Foxes gigs, I was personally picked to write a short rap as a solo on stage with them. Then again I performed a solo on one of our spring shows on the Fox stage. Throughout the four years, I have been writing songs of my own sometimes even helping others find their way with their own music. I have not however taught a course on music with a lesson plan. However, I do have plenty of experience to pass on and a knowledge of the craft.

About the lesson

I am a high school graduate who for four years went to Oakland School for the Arts. At this school, I was part of the vocal emphasis which allowed me to take 1 year of song writing, 3 years worth of classes in music theory, and 4 years of musical solo rep (which is learning how to sing in all different types of genres.)well as one year worth of music history. I know how to play the acoustic guitar as well as the piano and would be willing to teach the basics of those instruments. My curriculum would be personally designed around whatever it is you hope to learn. If you want to just learn lyrics I will provide tips and examples of how to start and know when you are finished. If you want to learn music theory I will teach a lesson plan with assignments to train your ear and give you the fundamentals. If you just want to start making music then I will provide a place where you can learn the skills to start that journey.
