James Shetler was was my band director my senior year of high school. He began the school year with such energy and a desire to make great music with our band. Mr. Shetler quickly adjusted to the character of the band, making friends with us and letting us have our fun, while also pushing us to become better musicians. He is a very skilled trumpet player and is always happy to share his skills through teaching. In April, our band competed in New York city, where the judging panel admired our musicianship and musicality, skills we could attest were developed by our director.
