About Caitlyn
I am a singer songwriter and cat mum having completed a music performance degree in which I mastered as a vocalist.
Through high school I took on various extra curricular activities such as choir, musicals, soul band, concert band and flute ensemble and have completed both VCE music and up to Grade 5 AMEB piano. I frequently love assisting my peers with music theory and songwriting, and teach piano and singing. I am particularly interested in superprof, so that I can connect with individuals interested in songwriting at various stages of their lives.

My approach to teaching is to evoke a similar passion in my students to my own. I like to ask what they're interested in learning or what issue they want to tackle and then figure out an approach to help them get to where they want to be.
As a teacher of music one of my own missions is to showcase the importance of music theory and how notation is such a valuable universal language. My strengths are within this area and in songwriting, more specifically lyrics and arranging. I am an advocate for creativity and believe all students and people
interested in music should be allowed this kind of expression.

Perfect! This was her 1st class with our daughter. And we could see her instantly getting connected with our daughter, given our daughter being a bit shy this was a very important aspect of tutoring we were looking for. Apparently, our daughter seems to be very excited. We are looking for a longer term Tutoring engagement with Caitlyn for sure.
