About Hannah
I am a recent graduate of the University of Edinburgh, and I’m now studying for a Masters in Music on the cello at RNCM. At Edinburgh I received a first class BMus Hons, and over my time there I was awarded the Sir Thomas Beecham Scholarship for performance, the Eileen Cameron Music prize for contribution to the musical life of both the faculty and the wider city, and the Janet Buckley Memorial Prize for academic study of music. I focused particularly on music history, musicology, and orchestration in my academic studies, forming a well-rounded approach to teaching music theory.

Aiming to get students ready for their grade 5 music theory exams, which can often seem daunting and, honestly, uninteresting. I aim to teach with a fun and communicative approach that takes the stress out of passing the theory exam, and relates the studies in the exam book to real-life music. Lessons can be 40 minutes or an hour, depending on the wishes of the student.
