About Sophie
I am currently studying for a master's degree at Durham University, having graduated earlier this year with a 2:1 in Music.
I am planning on pursuing a career in teaching music in secondary schools, and am very keen to gain experience teaching this level of material. I have previously worked in musical instrument summer courses, and I am excited to transfer the skills learnt from this type of teaching to a more theoretically focused.

In each lesson I will breakdown the time into three sections. The first section will involve reviewing the previous lessons topics and ensuring that this knowledge is firmly established. The middle section of the lesson will be used to teach the material of this lesson, with examples and listening activities to help the student understand the material well. The final 10-15 minutes of each lesson will take the structure of a quiz, enabling the student to fully consolidate the new material from the lesson.
