About Helen
I'm a lifelong musician, singer, pianist and accompanist. Throughout my university years and during my 20s and 30s I spent a lot of time arranging and performing bespoke chamber music classics for my chamber trio, performing at weddings and events for over a decade.
More recently I have spent time leading singing workshops for community groups, business conferences and workplaces, bringing people together to find the joy of music making even if they cannot read music or have any music experience.
I am passionate about helping people connect through music, learn new skills, make new friends and explore the wellbeing benefits of making music. Supporting people who are taking music examinations, with good music theory foundations, and helping them find the joy in understanding & using music theory, is really important to me and brings me great joy.

Qualified in ABRSM music theory, piano, flute and bassoon to Grade 8 standard. Upper Second Class Honours degree in Music from University of Southampton.
I have taught flute and piano to adult beginners, and I am a regular choir accompanist and choir leader.
I am passionate about the importance of music theory to support instrumental tuition, composition and arranging.
I offer 30 - 60 minute online music theory tuition, revision and practice for KS2, GCSE and A Level Music, and to support ABRSM Theory examinations up to Grade 8. £30 per hour.
