About Mariel
My name is Mariel, I started playing drums at the age of 12.
For more than 15 years, I've been teaching and playing drums in different range of styles: Jazz, Rock, Blues, Latin, Funk, Soul.-
Drumming is a great workout for your brain and actually can make you smarter because when you drum you access your entire brain. Research shows that the physical transmission of rhythmic energy to the brain actually synchronizes the left and right hemispheres
I have been recording, performing and touring around UK, Europe and Southamerica.-
All lessons are private with one-to-one instruction in a dedicated sound-proofed music studio, organised and guaranteed to help you improve your drumming learning a new skill in a fun way to develop musicality, coordination, creativity, technique and independence.-
We will learn to take the time to repeat new exercises and play them at different tempos, eliminate all distractions and follow through with your goals, and you’ll soon see tangible results and how each strand is interconnected.
We will play the music you love, play a song of your own choice, or perform a song you’ve written yourself. Showcase your technical skills in a real-life context through our technical focus songs and demonstrate your ability to deliver a compelling live performance.
Whether you are a beginner student taking your first drum lesson, or an advanced drummer looking to take your playing to the next level, we will develop a solid technical foundation, discover a range of styles and learn to play your favourite songs.
Drumming is an exciting and health boosting activity which is noted by the scientific community for its ability to alleviate modern day stresses and It’s fun! Playing the drums is great fun. No matter your ability level, it’s a highly enjoyable way of awakening primitive rhythms and a boost for the immune system, relieve frustration, disappointment and stress; such as Increase Academic Performance, develop confidence and Improve Communication Skills

You only need a DRUM kit ( Acoustic or electric) or pad and sticks at home and set up your camera in front of the kit .-
