About Cyrus

I am an award-winning writer, English Literature graduate, and experienced educator. I hold a degree in English Literature from the University of Manchester and have also studied at the University of Illinois and the University of Oxford. I am now completing an MA in Poetry from Queen’s University Belfast. I also hold a certificate in Online Teaching from Future Learn. I am currently the Editor-in-Chief at Europinion where I lead workshops and train writers and editors. I can train you to be a better writer both for examinations and work. Additionally, my work as a Journalist and Essayist has seen publication in outlets like the Cherwell Newspaper and the Poetry Society. As a Published Writer, my works have been recognised and awarded internationally. I am a winner of Foyle's Young Poet of the Year and have been longlisted for the National Poetry Prize. I have been featured in numerous publications. If you are interested in Creative Writing, I am happy to be your first port of call for any advice you may need. Practical Application: I use real-world examples and writing exercises to help students apply literary concepts and techniques. This hands-on approach makes learning more relevant and engaging. Feedback and Improvement: Regular feedback is provided to help students understand their strengths and areas for improvement. This iterative process ensures continuous progress. Typical Length of a Lesson: Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, but this can be adjusted based on the student’s needs and concentration. Qualifications: I hold a degree in English Literature from the University of Manchester and I am an internationally published, award-winning writer. I am also a published researcher, who writes about teaching English to young people. Additionally, I have the qualification How to Teach Online from Future Learn. Who Are My Lessons For: Levels: My lessons are suitable for students at all levels, from secondary school to university. Ages: I tutor students aged 13 and up, adapting my teaching style to suit the age and comprehension level of each individual. Goals: Whether you’re looking to improve your grades, prepare for exams, or simply deepen your understanding and enjoyment of literature, my lessons are designed to meet your specific goals.
