About Shivam kumar
Hi, I'm Shivam — a Mathematics and Earth Science tutor with an MSc in Geology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Math has always been my first love: I've spent years applying statistics, quantitative analysis, and problem-solving to real scientific data, and I bring that same precision and clarity into every lesson I teach.
What sets me apart isn't just academic credentials — it's real-world experience. Through multiple field research projects, I've analyzed data, prepared detailed technical reports, and explained complex findings clearly to teams and supervisors. That experience taught me how to break down difficult ideas into simple, logical steps — exactly the skill that helps students go from confused to confident in math.
I take a structured, patient approach to every class: a quick review, a clear explanation with real examples, guided practice, and independent practice with support along the way. My goal is never just to get you through a problem, but to make sure you understand why it works, so you can solve the next one on your own.

Techniques & Methods
I teach mathematics as a way of thinking, not a set of rules to memorize. I break problems into clear, logical steps, use visual models (graphs, diagrams, geometric shapes) to make abstract concepts concrete, and connect math to real-world data and patterns — drawing on my own experience applying statistics and quantitative methods to scientific analysis. For earth science, I use the same hands-on, example-driven approach, bringing in real fieldwork to illustrate concepts like rock formation, structural geology, and earth systems.
