About Piper

I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and a BSc in Applied Chemistry. My academic background and teaching practice are strongly rooted in electrochemistry, where I focus on its real-world applications in energy storage and conversion. I help students understand the fundamentals of redox reactions, how they govern chemical processes, and why they are central to modern technologies. My lessons often highlight the chemistry behind batteries, fuel cells, and corrosion. These topics are not just theoretical—they directly connect to the devices and systems we rely on every day. By linking concepts to practical applications, I make chemistry both engaging and relevant for learners. I work with students who are interested in renewable energy, materials science, and chemical engineering. Each session is tailored to help them not only grasp core principles but also apply them to future-focused challenges. Whether a student is preparing for exams or exploring advanced applications, I provide clear explanations and structured guidance. I believe that chemistry is a powerful tool to understand and improve the world around us. Through my teaching, I aim to build both confidence and curiosity in every learner. Together, we explore the chemistry that powers our modern world and inspires the innovations of tomorrow.

My teaching approach in Chemistry is built on clarity and structure. I focus on helping students understand the building blocks of organic chemistry, from nomenclature and functional groups to reaction mechanisms and isomerism. Every lesson is designed to simplify complex structures into step-by-step explanations that make learning accessible and manageable. I believe that students learn best when concepts are broken down into smaller, logical parts. That is why I introduce each topic gradually, ensuring that the foundation is strong before moving into more advanced material like organic synthesis. Through worked examples and practice problems, learners develop both accuracy and confidence. Alongside organic chemistry, I also guide students in areas of general, physical, and environmental chemistry, so they gain a well-rounded understanding of the subject. My lessons often connect chemistry to real-life fields, such as environmental science and marine biology, to show how the principles of carbon compounds influence the natural world. I place great importance on consistent feedback, as it allows learners to track progress and strengthen areas that need improvement. Students are encouraged to ask questions, test their ideas, and practice actively in every session. The goal is not just to prepare for exams and assignments but to help learners master how chemistry works in theory and practice.
