About Livia
I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MSc in Analytical Chemistry. My passion lies in exploring the fascinating chemistry of natural products and biomolecules. I’ve always been intrigued by the colours, scents, and therapeutic powers that nature holds within its molecules. Much of my work focuses on **secondary metabolites**, **natural dyes**, **flavours**, and other **biologically active compounds** found in plants, fungi, and microbes. I enjoy guiding students through the processes of **extraction, isolation**, and **structural elucidation** of these natural substances. My teaching style is hands-on, concept-driven, and deeply connected to real-world applications. I break down complex ideas into digestible lessons and help students understand the relevance behind each molecule. Whether it's alkaloids, terpenes, or phenolic compounds, I make their stories come alive. Together, we explore both the science and the wonder behind Chemistry. My teaching approach for Chemistry is focused, strategic, and student-centred.
