About Pilar
I have wide experience teaching Spanish to primary, secondary, further and higher education for 12 years, 10 years in the UK. I have taught in Belfast Metropolitan College for 8 years: beginners, Levels 1 and 2, GCSE, AS, A-Level and DELE. I taught Spanish as an after school club in primary schools for 7 and a half years. I worked as language assistant in two secondary schools for a year and in Queen's University Belfast for 5 years. I have also successfully tutored students preparing their GCSE, AS, A-Level, First Certificate and Advanced (obtaining either an A or A*).

I tailor my lessons to my students' needs and interests, trying to focus on all skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. I try to speak and get my students to speak from day one, which can be terrifying but it helps greatly in the long term.
