Whether your student is in a public, private, or homeschool setting, my 60-minute, one-on-one sessions are designed to provide the consistency and specialized focus needed to master the mechanics of advanced language.

This level is designed for upper elementary students transitioning from "learning to read" to "reading to learn." Instruction targets:

- Morphology & Multisyllabic Words: Breaking down complex terminology using Latin and Greek roots so big words are no longer a barrier to understanding.

- Vocabulary Acquisition: Building the deep background knowledge required for grade-level academic texts.

- Complex Reading Comprehension: Extracting meaning and nuance from dense literature and textbooks.

- Professional Communication Frameworks: Teaching the structural elements of language, rhetoric, and writing to help students articulate their thoughts clearly and confidently.

The Parent-First Advocacy Model:
To ensure the safety and success of every student, I operate under a Parent-First Advocacy Model. I work exclusively and directly with parents or legal guardians for all bookings, initial consultations, and progress updates. I believe a strong, communicative partnership between the tutor and the family is the ultimate catalyst for a child's literacy journey.

Scheduling & Cancellation Policy
To ensure every student receives my full focus and a consistent routine, I maintain a strict schedule. Because these one-on-one sessions are customized entirely to your child’s specific needs, that time block is reserved exclusively for them and cannot be filled on short notice.

Late Cancellations: A 100% charge of the full session fee applies to any cancellation made with less than 24 hours' notice.

Late Arrivals: Arrivals more than 15 minutes late are considered a "no-show" and will be billed in full. This policy ensures I can respect the schedules of all families and maintain our shared instructional goals.

About the lesson

With a background in professional communication, an Associate of Arts, and "lived-in" experience as a homeschool educator, I understand that reading isn't just an academic skill—it’s the foundation of a child’s self-esteem.

Lesson Delivery & Materials
100% Virtual (Webcam): All lessons are conducted online via webcam at the standard $20/hour rate.

Travel Fee: $0. Because all instruction takes place in our secure digital classroom, there are never any travel or commuting costs.

All-Inclusive Materials: The hourly rate covers everything. You will never be charged extra for curriculum design, digital learning tools, or downloadable practice resources. Everything we need for our sessions is provided at no additional cost to you.
