About Jessica
I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and am licensed to teach K-12 Spanish in the State of Iowa. I have instructed professionals for companies like John Deere in Spanish language for their business trips to South America. I have been teaching Spanish for more than 7 years, and have been tutoring Spanish for the past two years. I have spent summers in Mexico where I have worked as an interpreter for a volunteer corporation. For two summers, I went to Spain, learning about the cultures and speaking Spanish to better my language, and learning from conversations and exchanges. I plan to return to Mexico and Spain as much as possible, and will hopefully visit Guatemala and Belize in the next few years.

My primary teaching method is helping students learn Spanish through listening and speaking in every day conversations, and incorporating relevant reading and writing activities in the Spanish language. Although this is my primary method, I will always adjust my teaching style to what works best for my students' learning and comprehension.
