About Maria
I am MSci student at King's College London studying Molecular Genetics. I am very passionate about this field as I believe it is the future in which we will be focusing on genetics to treat diseases and illnesses. For my A levels, I studied Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics in which I achieved AAB. However, over the years I have developed a better understanding in those subjects and would like to share this knowledge with future students.

Hi, I'm Maria and I have been a private tutor for more than six years where I have led my students to success each time. Throughout the years I have taught piano, and Biology and Chemistry GCSE. Due to my years of experience with a range of age groups, I have become confident in providing personalized lessons, taking the student's abilities and goals into consideration.
As an aspiring geneticist, I have always had a strong passion for science, especially biology. When I taught Biology and Chemistry GCSE to my students, I was excited to share my knowledge and throughout the years I have developed various methods to teach the content since many students have different ways of learning. To ensure thorough understanding, I like to create links between content and test previous knowledge. My past students - whose least favourite subject was science - were thrilled with the results from our lessons where their grades increased from a D to a B.
