About Amelia

I am a senior Molecular & Cellular Biology major on the pre-veterinary track. I have absolutely loved biology all my life and love learning and research! I have been a TA for cell biology courses for the last several semesters, and it is so rewarding to see my students improve their skills throughout the term. Helping people learn and find their passion for learning is a process I really enjoy being a part of. I have a wide variety of interests, both within the molecular and ecology/wildlife biology that I love sharing with others!

About the lesson

I believe that the main key to being successful in any course, especially within the field of biology, is practice and repetition! During our first lesson, I want to hear your questions and see where you are struggling most, and create individualized lessons based off of YOUR needs. Didn't do so well on the last exam? Let's go through old exams and see where you went wrong and tackle topics for the next one. Need someone to talk through the cortisol response pathway twenty times? No problem! Don't know where to look for peer-reviewed articles for that major research paper? Happy to help! I want to be a helpful tutor and resource for you and set you up for success :)

First lesson is free, then $15 per hour after the first session. If you would rather schedule your hours all at once, it is $50 for every 5 hours and $90 for every 10 hours.
