About Sean
I am patient and understanding, I do not expect any student to know everything, nor understand all from the first attempt nor memorize any information forever. I did not forget what it is to be a student as I was one not so long ago. As I gave courses to classes of dozens of students and supervised individually several research trainees, I understand that the way of learning is different for everyone. One of my first objectives is to find the most appropriate ways to explain to you the subjects and develop with you a reliable and efficient way to memorize the essentials of the subjects. My main goal is making you pass your exams with great success, but I also want to show you the point of learning all this information from a practical point of view. If I succeed you will see that learning will be way easier.

I can teach to students from high school to second university cycle, preferably in French. Before any lesson I need details about the subject to get all resources required for the lessons. My first lesson starts with an overview of the subject to teach, the student's strengths, weaknesses, and objectives. Then, we work together to find the most adapted way to explain the subjects and identify the most suitable methodology revision method to ensure long-term memorization. I generally start the next lessons with a theoretical approach, when I ensure that the student can explain the topic himself, I give him exercises which are resolved by the student on his own or with my help if he gets stuck. I then review the results and congratulate the student for the good responses or potentially give a full explanation for each mistake. At the end of a lesson, I give homework to the student, consisting mainly of memorizing elements of the topic, but also readings and a few exercises if required. If possible and adapted to the situation, I can teach more advanced knowledge linked to the lesson.

The hourly rate ($40 CAD/hr) has been set to take into account my level of education and qualifications. This hourly rate also considers the work required before and after each lesson. It is also important to consider that it is often necessary to purchase or rent resources which are essential for the lessons (books, scientific articles, manuals, etc.).
