About Alana

I'm a professional actor, comedian and teacher originally from NYC. Television credits include CBS’s Blue Bloods, Powerbook 3 on STARZ, and as the co-creator of the BET Digital Series Two Grown. In 2018, I was one of 9 out of thousands to be selected as a US Finalist for the ABC Discovers Digital Talent Competition. In 2022, I went abroad to London and Scotland were I performed as an actor and stand-up comic at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In 2023, I graduated with my MFA in Acting from LSU. I have experience with screen acting, theatre acting, stand-up comedy and improv. Additionally, I teach public speaking.

About the lesson

I approach acting and communication from a holistic standpoint, incorporating the mind, body and spirit into my process. Growth as a human being and as an actor are synonymous, as stated by the great Stella Adler. That is how I approach educating my students. I facilitate self-exploration through performance, and the growth that inspires is where I get my fulfillment as a teacher.
