About Leanne
Why Families Choose Me
I am a qualified Education Support professional with a Certificate IV in Education Support and many years of hands-on experience working with primary-aged children. I have supported students across a range of abilities, including neurodiverse learners and children with additional learning needs.
I understand the importance of patience, consistency and clear communication. Families can feel confident knowing that I provide a structured, supportive and professional learning environment where each child is treated with respect and understanding.
I am reliable, organized and committed to helping students achieve meaningful progress. I work closely with families to ensure learning goals are clear, progress is monitored, and students feel supported both academically and emotionally.
My experience in education settings has given me strong skills in literacy development, behavior support strategies and differentiated learning. I am confident in adapting lessons to suit each child’s individual needs while maintaining high expectations and encouragement.
Above all, I am passionate about helping children build confidence, independence and a positive attitude toward learning.

My Approach to Tutoring
I provide supportive, structured and individualised tutoring for students in Prep to Year 4. My approach focuses on building confidence, strengthening literacy skills, and creating a safe learning environment where every child feels capable and understood.
With a Certificate IV in Education Support and many years of experience working with children — including those with additional needs and neurodiverse learners — I understand that every child learns differently. I tailor each lesson to suit the student’s strengths, learning style and pace.
My Teaching Approach & Techniques
Explicit, step-by-step instruction for literacy skills (reading, phonics, spelling, comprehension and writing)
Multi-sensory learning strategies to support neurodiverse learners
Visual supports, scaffolding and structured routines
Positive reinforcement and confidence-building strategies
Homework support with guided practice to promote independence
Breaking tasks into manageable steps to reduce overwhelm
I focus on building strong foundational skills while also helping students feel successful and motivated.
Lesson Length
Lessons typically run for 45–60 minutes, depending on the child’s age, attention span and individual needs. Shorter sessions can be arranged for younger learners if needed.
