About Sarah
Hi! My name is Sarah Ogunnusi and I am currently in my first year of medical school at the university of Birmingham. I play hockey and netball in my spare time and an activity I really enjoy is watching movies at the cinema (I would say this is my 3rd space - a break from school and work!)
I would be happy to mentor any of my students who are interested in medicine at no additional cost as I too understand the toiling journey of applying to med school in the first place! Upon finishing my A levels I was able to reflect on the two years and how much I underestimated the gravity of A levels. Throughout all of the ups and downs my hard work and resilience allowed me to achieve the grades needed to pursue my dream career. All I want to do through tutoring, is make that same goal attainable for all of my student - through quality, certified and most of all affordable tutoring.

Lesson structure: My teaching methodology prioritises the student's understanding of the content, rather than memorisation. Students will build up on the basics of A level chemistry through guided active recall - flashcards and recap questions. Students often learn better when they can visualise the content, which is why I use simulation programmes to explain the core concepts of organic chemistry. I will set regular questions/videos for the student to watch after lessons so that they can test themselves over time using a method called spatial repetition. Repeating exam question types and doing practice papers will allow the student to build up confidence and familiarity in the long run, which hugely improved my grade (from a C in year 12 to an A* in my a levels).
